BrightWave Academy offers personalized mathematics instruction grounded in understanding, clarity, and individualized support. We believe students learn best when teaching is tailored to their needs and focused on building both skill and confidence.

Founded by Miquela Burgos, BrightWave combines personalized instruction with active academic oversight. An experienced mathematics educator, Miquela remains actively involved in both tutoring and oversight, helping ensure thoughtful, consistent support for each student.

Our approach is individualized. We consider each student's academic background, learning style, pace, goals, and areas of challenge in order to provide support that is both strategic and encouraging. Sessions are designed not only to strengthen performance, but also to build deeper understanding, stronger skills, and greater confidence over time.

A Ransom Everglades graduate, Miquela holds a bachelor's degree in Biology and Mathematics from Northeastern University and a master's degree from New York University in the teaching of mathematics. With over a decade of tutoring experience, she has worked with students across a range of ages, abilities, and academic settings, with a consistent focus on helping each student feel more capable, confident, and supported.
